It is entirely appropriate that we - the U.S. population, observe a holiday showing our appreciation for our many blessings.
TODAY IS THANKSGIVING DAY
As i drove back from Sandi's house at 11 a.m. Thursday, I observed everything was clsed in observance of the holiday. The streets were devoid of pedestrians. The Mexican restaurants - closed. Thai and Polish restaurants - closed. Vietnamese and Italian - closed. Pawn shops - closed. Even the "Going out of Business" stores - closed. Commerce was at rest.
We/they all acknowledge the nique position we al enjoy in the universe. Grazie Deo...
Of course WalMart, Target and Macy's are open...but that's nly to cater to our driving hunger for more 'stuff'...ever mre stuff. But we are not forced to go shopping. That's only for the classless and aquisitive. The rest of us are at home, celebrating our blessings...and maybe shopping on-line. (But only a little.)
So 'To Whomever is in Charge' (and by whatever name you call Him/Her) say a word of Thanks. In my observation, "We are living in the palm of God's hand."
